Originating in America in the 1990s the idea of creating a series of wheels to celebrate special memories and moments could never have hoped for so much success. The original concept was born when a jewellery designer was waiting in an airport after his flight had been cancelled. Whilst sat there he was struck with the idea that there must be a way of honouring a womans life and memories through a piece of jewellery other than what was what already available such as rings.
With this thought in his mind he drew a line on a napkin and separated that line with other lines showing special events, memories and celebrations creating the womans ‘Lifeline’. These insignificant lines slowly became circles or wheels and the original line became a chain. “Lifeline Storywheels” was created.
After the initial ideas and designs were created a new design director was introduced. His name was Richard Palermo and he took it upon himself to take the Storywheels concept and turn it into something magnificent. Richard, a well known and gifted jewellery designer expanded upon the existing ideas and used his ability to translate these into finished, stunning jewellery. With a career spanning over 30 years his collections have become legendary for their unique looks and captivating stories all of which combine exquisite gemstones, diamonds and precious metals creating a luxury and long lasting brand.
