DMJ is proud to be a part of Professional Jeweller Hot 100
Professionaljeweller.com have established themselves at the heart of the UK jewellery and watch industry.
The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is more than a simple party, and a great deal more fun than a formal awards dinner. It is an event built around the 100 people that have shaped the industry this year, and attended by 500 of the jewellery and watch market’s most influential players.
The Hot 100, which is being generously partnered this year by the Company of Master Jewellers, is made up of six groups of industry stars:
Trendsetters: Jewellery and watch designers that have inspired the industry in 2010.
Retail Stars: Front line jewellers that have demonstrated world class retailing skills this year.
Winning Teams: Families, husbands and wives and partners that have driven businesses to extraordinary success.
Business Big Shots: The industry’s greatest bosses.
Celebrity Supporters: Stars who bring the glamour of jewellery and watches and celebrity to life.
NexGems: A celebration of fresh, upcoming jewellery designers.
The final Hot 100 will be interviewed and photographed by the Professional Jeweller team, with each of them featured in stunning personal profiles in a commemorative Hot 100 book that will be released on the night of the party, and circulated to all 5000 subscribers of Professional Jeweller magazine.
The glamorous Hot 100 party will be photographed and filmed on the night, with all the pictures and video clips used in a celebratory web site within Professionaljeweller.com and in print in Professional Jeweller magazine.
The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is fast establishing itself as the most exciting event in the British jewellery calendar. We look forward to welcoming the stars of this most glamorous industry to the party, and sharing news of the Hot 100 with all readers of Professional Jewellers in the coming weeks and months.

John Ball joins:
This month John Ball joins our team as Sales Manager. John, who currently lives in Hampshire with fiancee Claire, their children and Stanley the dog, has a wealth of experience in the industry, having learnt all the tricks of the trade from Derbyshire based Jewellery manufacturer C W Sellors. Before working in the jewellery industry John spent 12 years in the shipping and moving of household goods, estimating and planning logistics. Although a difficult industry John is thankful for the experience he gained as it enabled him to truly appreciate the wonderful world of jewellery!
Aside from jewellery, Johns passion is football, having played at Wessex league standard up until recently. These days, he enjoys watching the children play football and goes to the gym where ever possible, although he admits he could do with a few more hours a week!
John is looking forward to being part of the exciting journey that DMJ have begun and Darren McCormick (MD) is confident John can use his skills to help cement DMJ as the UK's leading watch and jewellery distributor.
